Penguin bags brace in Man Booker Prize 2017 shortlist

Penguin boasts two authors in the shortlist for the Man Booker Price 2017 shortlist. Ali Smith’s Autumn and Mohsin Hamid’s Exit West have both been shortlisted and join Emily Fridlund’s A History of Wolves, Fiona Mozley’s Elmet, Paul Auster’s 4321 and George Saunders’ Lincoln in the Bardo.
Ali Smith has been shortlisted for the Man Booker three times and bagged the Baileys prize for How to Be Both.
In his second appearance on the shortlist, Mosh Hamid has been shortlisted for his novel Exit West, the story of “two ordinary young people, attempting to do an extraordinary thing – to fall in love – in a world turned upside down.”
